PermaSuburbia is an urban permaculture design and implementation consulting service provider, supporting the establishment of regenerative urban lifestyle patterning in the greater Cape Town area. We design and implement whole systems or component systems, introduce permaculture concepts into urban planning and inspire, educate and mentor people into regenerative living.

Urban Permaculture Design

You will live a healthier, more peaceful and long life while contributing to the overall health, stability and ecological integrity of all existence. We take you through all the steps necessary to design and redesign your life through skills that are as ancient as the hunter-gatherer and as modern as “appropriate” technologies that heal rather than harm.

Services
All the following services are available as a complete design system or as individual components or elements on their own. So for example we can do a site visit and make suggestions about an effective approach to turning it into a permaculture system or we can do a whole design. We can then follow that up with an implementation if you require assistance in that or we can implement for example a off-grid water system, etc.
Permaculture Site Assesment
- Site Assessment Visit which results in a simple mainframe design to help you on your way if you wish to do it yourself.
- Client’s Needs Assessment which looks at the quality of life you wish to live on the site via permaculture design and how to go about it by applying simple processes.
- A Site Development Assessment that focuses on supply access to information technology, equipment and contacts, with initial sketches and basic illustrations of the potential design, with an offer of the complete design plans and full report for implementation, maintenance and establishment.
Full Permaculture Design
- Complete design plans and full report for implementation, maintenance and establishment.
Design Implementation
- Direction of physical implementation of work on the ground.
- Direction of Earthworks Implementation – Survey and supervision of earthmoving operators.
Renewable Energy Consultancy and Design
- Assessment of energy requirements and the options available for renewable energy technology systems design.
